What is the AC20?
The AC20 utilizes dual balanced armature technology, with a new take on the Westone signature sound. The AC20 is a pair of clear custom fit all acrylic monitors, with a single sound bore and a different driver configuration than the ES20. The idea is to provide high quality sound at an affordable price, so the AC20 is only available in limited colors with a clear cable, with the Westone logo and AC20 laser engraved on the faceplate. The AC20 provides 20-25 dB of isolation and comes with the standard 50” clear replaceable cable with a 3.5mm stereo jack. The AC20 is also a great choice for use with any personal listening device.

The suggested retail price for the AC20 is $379.00.

The AC20 is custom made to fit a specific individual, so ear impressions are required. To place an order for a pair of AC20 monitors, please start by clicking on Find A Dealer in the menu bar.

How do I place an order for custom-fit in-ear monitors?
Once you have determined which custom-fit in-ear musicians’ monitor you would like, you will need to visit a local audiologist to initiate the order process. The easiest way to locate an audiologist near you is through our website’s online search. Just click on the Find A Dealer link in the menu bar. The audiologist will examine your ears, take impressions of them and submit the order to us. The completed monitors will be sent to the audiologist for a professional fitting. You will pay the audiologist for the product and their services. Pricing will vary and additional fees may apply, so please discuss this with the audiologist.

What is the difference between the UM Series and the W Series line of products?
The W Series of earphones – W10, W20, W30, W40, W50 and W60 - were specifically designed for personal listening applications, for use with devices such as an iPod, DAC or MP3 player. The sound signature is balanced without accentuating any particular frequency band – perfect for prerecorded music – and was crafted based on feedback from our customers and what they wanted in the perfect personal listening earphone. The W10, W20, W30, W40, W50 and W60 are the result of our dedication to providing professional level sound in a personal listening earphone.

The UM (Universal Monitor) Pro Series was designed for onstage use in live sound applications as in-ear musicians’ monitors. The UM Pro10, UM Pro20, UM Pro30 and UM Pro50 all feature a greater emphasis on low frequency information, while maintaining excellent mids and highs. Because live music is less refined than prerecorded mastered music, musicians need an in-ear musicians’ monitor that have the frequencies necessary to handle whatever equalization is required to replicate the natural sound of their instrument. More headroom in the low frequencies also allows drummers and bassists to “feel” the additional low end associated with their instrument.
