I've had these plugs for a little over a month & in that time they've been "in ear" ~46hrs. (with ~10 hrs of that used with a radio). I work at music venues/fests and for years have worn disposable earplugs.
When worn for long periods (>4hrs) the disposable plugs would really bother my ears and need to be replaced. I could actually hear the volume increase when chewing gum or yawning. When I had to use a radio, I was forced to remove all protection (plug) from my ear just so I could hear it or communicate with those around me over the music.

These custom molded plugs have been just what I was hoping for. I've worn them for >8hrs straight without discomfort. (You MUST get accustomed to wearing them slowly as they advise & don't be afraid to use the supplied lubricant, it makes a big improvement). Conversation with those around me is vastly improved. Plus, I don't have to hold my jaw in a specific position in order to get a good seal. Chewing, yawning is not a problem.

When using a radio, I have a superior ability to hear what is being said. Don't have to hear the radio OVER the music. All without having to expose myself to damaging noise levels.

The Westone techs were extremely helpful in assisting me in selecting the right product & answering questions.
These are a bit pricey but, if they last a few years those costs will be offset by the improvements in comfort & protection I now have.

I can highly recommend these plugs to anyone who routinely works in a high noise environment.
