It’s been over half a century since Ron and Mickey Morgan made their first earpiece on the kitchen table in the family home high in the Colorado Rockies. A lot has changed since then.

Yet, some things haven’t really changed at all. Sure, we can now make custom earpieces “digitally” using our FIT additive manufacturing process, but we still make thousands of earpieces each week using our tried and true traditional methods. We also have new and growing businesses in music products, military communications and hearing protection products.

But even with all the new, our foundation and focus here at Westone has not changed: Providing you, the hearing healthcare professional, with the best value in custom earpieces and clinical supplies. If you need help with an order, have a question about a patient fitting, or would like to discuss how to grow your practice through some of our music or hearing protection products, we’re always here and eager to talk.

Over fifty years ago, we decided that “The Golden Rule” was the only way to do business. That hasn’t changed a bit. We still follow this simple guiding principle and strive to “do the right thing” in all of our actions. We’re here to be of service and exceed your expectations. We’ll do our very best to take care of you and your patients.

That’s how it’s always been, and that’s how we plan to keep it.

Introducing CID Capital

Colorado Springs, CO., December 14, 2011 – As most of you are aware, the Morgan family founded Westone in 1959 and has contributed enormously to our growth and success over the last  fifty-two years. Over the last couple of years, I have been working closely with the family to explore retirement options that will allow Westone to carry on and grow. We have spent a lot of time on this process to ensure that the option chosen will allow Westone to continue as a leader in the hearing healthcare industry and provide the quality products and service that you have come to expect from Westone.

I am excited to announce that Westone has a new partner, CID Capital! CID is a private investment group based in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are excited about this new relationship, as this will allow the existing Westone management team to continue to operate and build the business, while allowing members of the Morgan family to spend more time pursuing personal interests. We plan to continue to strengthen our hearing healthcare business, while also focusing on hearing conservation and custom hearing protection for recreation and industry. As you are aware, these have traditionally been Westone’s core businesses, and they will continue as a strategic focus moving forward.

In the way of background, CID Capital has been working with companies like Westone for over thirty years. Their goal is to capitalize companies and assist their management teams in growing the business and strengthening leadership in their respective industries. CID focuses on small to medium-sized companies like Westone that have demonstrated market leadership, solid operating results, and strong management teams in place. We are delighted to have CID Capital as our new partner, and we look forward to further enhancing our service to you and your patients.
