Receiver-In-Canal (RIC), also known as Receiver-In-The-Ear (RITE), hearing instruments are currently one of the fastest growing segments of the industry. The discreet size and cosmetic appeal of RICs have made them extremely popular. Many patients, however, are borderline candidates based on their hearing loss. Additionally, stock tips may not offer optimal retention.

Fortunately, there’s a way to maximize the performance of virtually every RIC instrument—while at the same time increasing patient satisfaction, reducing returns and successfully fitting more borderline candidates.

Westone custom RIC earpieces are the solution. Westone styles are available to fit many manufacturers’ RIC instruments. While these styles were designed primarily as canal-only earpieces, other style options such as canal lock, half-shell or even non-occluding skeleton earpieces are available..

Style No. 89 - Silicone Applications Canal style earpiece for standard receivers. For use with many manufacturers’ standard size receivers, including Oticon Epoq, Resound DotTM, Phonak Savia Art™ C.R.T., Widex Passion™, Siemens Active™ and similar receivers. Receiver friction fits into earpiece. Available materials OtoBlast Silicone Venting Options Pressure Vent, Standard Vent, Medium Vent, Large Vent, MVP, SAV, Largest Vent Possible (space permitting) Receiver Bore Options Will drill to accommodate most manufacturers’ standard size receivers. Style No. 87 Applications Canal style RIC earpiece for Siemens, Rexton, & Miracle Ear instruments. manufactured RICs. Utilizes the Siemens wax protection system. Receiver snaps into earpiece (acrylic only).
